Today's DPOD is "Nakanune Novovo Goda #2" by AlphaTangoBravo:

I love the old-time horror Movie feel here, but no digital effects, just a fisheye lens and a long exposure.

EXIF:
Camera: Pentax *ist DS

The photographer says:
2 second exposure with a Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye lens. With the 1.5x crop factor of the Pentax *istDS, the fisheye effect isn't too pronounced. ISO 200. Aperture not recorded, but probably around f4.

Taken on the old Russian New Year's Eve (1/13/06). It's the Catholic Church near Metro Barrikadnaya. Performed minor color and brightness/contrast corrections.

I'm not sure I like the "smearing" of the moon caused by the clouds. Two different versions are in the same set.

1. I don't know about this, the brick seems okay. It would've been a lot more captivating taking a picture of the church from where you stand, but at a different angle of course, instead of trying to get the tree and moon in it, too.

3. The clouds have me puzzled! The 2 second exposure seems about right for the bricks but the clouds are so
smeard or blured that you would think it was longer than 2 seconds.

Regarding Fabian's comments, all I can say that I was also surprised to read the EXIF data and see it was only a 2 sec exposure. Frankly, it wasn't too windy at ground level, but the clouds were moving pretty quickly... Here is a six second exposure: http://www.flickr.com/photo_exif.gne?id=87296933&context=set-1669992
