The craze for camera tossing has caught on in a big(ish) way in the UK over the
last few weeks with even the Times
getting in on the trend. The idea of throwing your digital camera in the air and I guess catching it on the way down
appears to have originated in Texas with Ryan Gallagher and his cameratoss.blogspot.com blog. A flickr group also exists to showcase some of the beautiful images
people have captured. In light of this it should come as no surprise that someone - in this case a Dane with Satugo - would release a camera specifically for throwing around. It might not be capable of the light streak images showcased on the flickr group but it looks mighty fun none the less. The Satugo has a built in timer which will still retain the pot-luck aspect of the genre. It also doubles as a webcam and has some sort of string to pull to operate it as a 'normal' camera. It is not actually available yet but the website lists a price of US$69 as a suggested cost.
