The monthly O'Reilly newsletter hit my inbox today, and there were a couple of surprises. I don't normally think of digital photography as the pervue of a tech publisher, but the digital is, after all, as important as the photography. Hence their new (August) Photoshop Retouching Cookbook for Digital Photographers. The book is geared toward photographers who are going digital, and the cookbook format presents easy to follow how-to "recipes" to accomplish specific tasks such as manual red eye reduction, color balancing, special effects, inserting and removing objects, and making composites. Looks like it should be a good read.
