21. i downloaded the zoom browser 5 upgrade and it failed to install and deleted the previous version of zoom browser that came with my a95. i tried reloading the original software (i looked after my disc!) but it just hangs and does nothing with no error messages. looks like canon should stick to cameras.
has anybody any idea how i can completely remove the earlier version so that i can start again. (uninstall options no longer work for zoom browser, photo stitch etc etc.)

22. I have also read all the above threads. I have searched high and low and can't find the full version of ZB to download. I lost my disc and my backup files won't work. None of the updaters will work either. I am very disappointed in Canon's customer service and refuse to pay for another disc after paying top dollar for a digital camer. If anyone else knows of a way to download the full version of ZB it would be great!

23. Great news! There is a website to download a full version of Zoom Browser!! It's an older version but once installed you can then update it with the downloads of newer versions from the Canon website. I am going to every forum and website I can find and posting this information to pass along the good news for those who have dealt with the frustration I have! Have a great day!

26. I would just love to say THANK YOU so much to BTW. Post number 26.... I recently upgraded my computer but I had lost the camera disc so I was unable to download my photo. Thanks to you I have been able to download an earlier version and just upgrade. Mmmwwwwaa Thanks.

www.alfa.com.au/supports/canon/cameras/zoombrsr22.exe from this page. Otherwise there are 100s of dights available that offer you upgrade vesrsion of ZoomBrowser but no one gives you the complete download.(It would be good if Canon keeps something that can be reffered as Acrchives.
Anyways, lets see if that works now....

29. I'm having the same problem as others. I don't feel like paying more money 6 months after spending $300 for a camera. I can't use that download site because I use a Mac. Does anyone know of a place to download the full version of ImageBrowser? DH thought I didn't need the disk anymore (I hadn't even used it yet!) I didn't know I needed it until I tried to import a movie....

30. I followed your instructions and downloaded the update for my ZoomBrowserEx. Before the download, I could not copy photos to a cd, nor after the new version. I get"No suitable recording drive was found." though the file menu has a tab for backup. Do I need some other program? Help.

Here you can downlad the installer, file by file, and install it. Worked for me.

32. im having problems with canon photostitch;the zoombrowser is ok but i can't seem to run photostitch..i've tried uninstalling the software and installing it again but only the photostitch doesn't work..it says on the screen it's already installed but couldn't find it!!!

33. Thanks for the link to Zoombrowser 5 upgrade. It installs fine on my laptop, but on my PC it 'hangs' at the install screen where I choose my country. I've tried every country but the result is the same :-(

Any ideas on this one?

I also forgot to bring my Canon ZoomBrowser CD on my trip. So I, like you, thought I could download it from the internet. (I use a Mac). As you know, they only offer updaters-- no full copy download.

Anyway, here's a solution for those who want to SAVE their IMAGES so they can empty their card.Click on "512CANON_DC" (or whatever name shows up from the card reader). Drag the folder "DCIM" to a folder in your hard drive. Then burn a CD to take home. The images are all safely stored in the DCIM folder. You will see a few folders like "100CANON" "101CANON" "102CANON". Open each folder and click on one of the images to see it. Hope that helps. Let me know.

For
Post No. 2 If you are having trouble downloading disable popblockers and or firewalls they will sometimes block section of the site. It does say that on the dowload pages so read.

Post No. 14 If you get this message then there are issues on you computer. The software is fine. Go to http://consumer.installshield.com/
if the error message had numbers like 1607 etc. then type just the numbers if no # then type that message in and it will give the fix. The installsheild software is not a canon app. You can use that site for a lot of install errors because it's there software not canon's.

Post No. 17 You have a permissions issue on your computer you need to contact apple and they can help you with your computer issue. You find that if you open imagebrowser and try to drag a file from one location to a different locatin within the browser and you will get a write error.

Post No. 20 Your issue has a fix on the Microsoft site. Is this a 16 bit subsystem error by chance. Take the time to look around before blame someone else. I use the canon software on different machines Mac and Windows if I have and issue I start the the OS maker site before I call them.

Post 21 Yes you have to pay for the cd. Why does everyone want somthing for free. You lost it you pay to replace it. If you wreck your car are you going to go to the dealer or car maker and tell them to replace your car since you paid xx,xxx.xx for it and you feel you should get a new for free. The software people have to get paid also.

So for all don't be cheap and be big butt holes that some seem to be and do some good looking before you start posting bad things.
