1. Thanks for the heads up! I have a Canon PowerShot A70, so the update is more than welcome. However, the new version of ZoomBrowser is available through Canon's tech support website for all customers, not just the ones with newer cameras. For example, for my camera it is in www.powershot.com , Download Library button on top, select the camera series (PowerShot series A in my case) then the model, click on the link in Software Applications and Updates, select the language and then the application: ZoomBrowser 5 for Windows is in the list.

11. I also have a problem with installing the Canon software. It does not install. I get the error: 'Installshield runtime script error'. When i mailed canon about this they simply answered: Installshield is not a canon-affiliated product, we cannot help you.
So now i'm looking for the software online, and can't find it. Does anybody have a link

13. I'm from venezuela and right now am traveling on dominican repubilc i have a powershot A80 and i left my software disc at home. I need the ZoomBrowser software to dowload my pictures on a friend computer. When can i find this software, i dont need the upgrade. HELP

14. I've done the upgrade but it's broken. I can't download images in CameraWindow:

1. Click "Starts to download images" button ->"Progress" window opens then closes after a couple of seconds. No images downloaded.

2. Click "Lets you select and download images" button -> select images for download -> Click "Download Images" button -> Click "Start Download" button -> Get "Error saving image" message.

Anyone else have this problem and (hopefully) a solution?

I'm using Mac OS X 10.2.8. The ImageBrowser software reports its version as 5.0.1.22 (6L). My camera is a PowerShot A95.

15. I tried it, but it won't update my 3.0.4 (that I also got from their web page, as my 3.0.0 from the CD couldn't be updated either.) I tried the 3.6.0 updater and the 5.0.1, no luck with either. It claims the software is installed, but I can run the old software just fine. Of course, their web site is of no help whatsoever.

16. On 14 Feb, Kristin asked for full software having lost her CD....on 19 Feb Pierre referred to a Canon Europe site for downloadable software. However, this site also seems to only provide updates....am I missing something on this site? Does anyone have a link to free full software?

17. I have a Canon Powershot A10. Yeah a bit old. Since updating PC it won't allow me install the software disc that came with camera as it is 16 bit..... I am aware that ZoomBrowser EX has been updated and I can find the updated versions but I MUST HAVE my previous version instead. I have looked everywhere on line for ZoomBrowser EX 2.6 that came with camera but no luck. I would like to be able to download and install all the original software (Photostitch 3.1, Remote Capture 1.3 but can't). Any assistance will be much appreciated.

18. I was searching the internet for the full download of zoombrowser.exe and finally wrote to Canon. I am in Canada so probably a different number for the US but they state that I must purchase a new disk for the tools that came with my camera. Great customer service eh?

"You may purchase a replacement Digital Camera Solution Disk from our Parts
Department by calling 1-888-832-4719. A Representative is available Monday
to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. The Representative will inform you

19. Woohoo! The Mac ImageBrowser suite now works for non-admin users. I had experienced the same problem as Andrew in post 17, though on a Mac OS X 10.3 machine with an Ixus 40. (At least, I can now download images, where I couldn't before. I hope/assume everything else is okay...) The solution with the older ImageBrowser which Andrew cited was to promote your account to an admin account - if you could. However, I was unhappy with that for everyday use.
Following the revised link in the article, I found the download for ImageBrowser 5.2 Updater which I have now downloaded and installed - on a test Mac OS X 10.4 machine (this was configured with a clean install). Initial testing has approximately 950MB of images and movies coming down off my camera right now, while logged in as a non-admin user. I am so pleased that this functionality has been restored!!! And so annoyed at Canon for having screwed this up and left it like that for so long!
In case anyone is interested, ImageBrowser is reported as being version 5.2.0.6 (7L).
I hope that this information is of interest to someone else. (And thanks to Amit Malhotra for making this blog entry!)

20. I also lost my cd able to put pixs out of my s45.
I've read all of comments above this pags but I could not solve my problem.
So How should I do and Where Should I find a cd On-line?
